Accessing Vaults вђ Cryptomator Documentation Unlocking a vault. select the vault you wish to unlock. click on the large unlock button located at the center of the cryptomator window. enter your vault’s password. a confirmation will be displayed if your password is correct. you can either close the confirmation window by clicking done or click on reveal vault to show your unlocked vault. After entering the correct password, cryptomator displays a diagram showing the currently en and decrypted amount of data. in addition, the virtual drive containing the decrypted data is opened. you can now use this drive with the open and save dialogs of other programs to access the data in the vault and work with the files as usual.

Accessing A Vault Cryptomator We use as example the files app from android. you select the file (s) to share by long clicking on it ①. press the share button ② to choose to share these file (s) and select cryptomator ③. choose the vault ④ and optionally specify the target folder in the vault ⑤ (default is the root). then the encryption and upload starts. The problem: processes (aka programs) do not have access to an unlocked vault, even when cryptomator is started with admin privileges. the reason: you mounted the vault to a drive letter. to make the virtual drive visible to all users (including elevated), you would need either admin privileges or specify a special flag. You can open a vault in terminal by simply typing cd followed by a space and the volume path displayed on in the “reveal” button. result1384×718 561 kb. alternatively you can also reveal the vault in finder and drop any contained directory from finder to the terminal windows. this will paste the directory’s path to the terminal. Hi, i’m wondering how i can host my cryptomator vault, so that i can access it on other devices via ftp webdav or anything else. i tried filezilla but couldn’t add it as a shared folder. i also tried accessing it via webdav on other devices by using the local network ip but it doesn’t connect.
