Classic Grilled Cheeseburger Olive Mango Instructions. in a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. form the beef into patties about 1 2 inch thick and about 1 4 inch larger in diameter than the buns you’ll be using. refrigerate the patties until ready to grill. Grill patties 4 5 minutes per side, or until about 10 degrees f below your desired doneness. add cheese and toast buns. top each patty with a slice of american cheese and cook for 1 2 more minutes, or until the cheese starts to melt. toast buns during this time. 4 hamburger buns, 8 slices american or cheddar cheese.
