I got an event to remove a strike, and removed another quickly at the store. so the deck was honestly supercharged and safe against nob. i somehow found 4 double energies after getting the skill egg relic. like straight up everything just clicked. i then got thunderstrike and tempest and was then like "ok this deck can race anything".
