Right now it’s an ir missile meta and the tomcat can carry up to 4 ir as oppose the viper being able to carry 6, and the f 16c being the only platform in the us tree to have access to aim 9m, so the latter is quite a bit more competitive at the moment. you can always grind the tomcat when the meta shifts to fox 1 fox 3 again. The best you can do with an f 16 is get a good "line." its like catching one good wave. you go in low, fast, hit the flank and end up getting 3 4 kills with your aim9l's because of the all aspect. this is a rare feat though, because the f 16 is bad. the f 14 is getting buffed in the patch.
