Lly Duramax Engine Diagram Coolant Leak From Bottom Of Bell Housing My guess is your coolant is coming from the block off plate up farther kinda underneath the down pipe close to the manifold area of the flywheel housing. my personal truck is a 2007 gmc sierra lbz ccsb 4x4 with hsp piping, danville 68stage2r turbo, ppe manifolds and up pipes, limitless 1078 tc, stock trans with trans go jr. and ratio tech kit. I now have a coolant leak on the rear engine, seemingly engine to bell housing. i’ve checked the turbo coolant line and u shaped hose, all dry. around the mount of the cooling plate seemed dry but the bellhousing above and below is soaked. it’s a steady leak even when the engine is off. my initial thought is the rear o rings on the rear. It's easier to just swap the whole pump separator plate assembly. remove all the bolts inside the bell housing, and the pump will drop out of the bell housing. i'll tell you right now, it's going to be a pita to change that rear adapter plate with the engine in the truck.
