Every time thardus does that weird stretch thing before turning into a ball and rolling at you, drop morph ball bombs right where you're standing before boosting away. the bombs do some random amount of damage that instantly destroys the "hidden" phase of the vulnerable rock. basically after dropping the bomb, the vulnerable rock becomes exposed and you've drained all the health from the first.
