Sebha Fortress Fort leclerc, sebha. an old ottoman fortress re built by italians (who ruled then libya) in the 1920s. seized by the french during wwii in 1943 and renamed later to fort leclerc, it became home to the 3e cspl in february 1949. the legionnaires lived there until november 1956. note the barbed wire protecting the fortress and legion installations.
