Continuing To Stitch The Haed Project Close Up Stitch W Stitch with me | close up stitching haed winter reading nook | wip | flosstube #244 stitchery loversif you wish to support the channel buy me a coffee here h. 25 count lugana is a really nice fabric to use. if 25 count is too daunting for you, i would suggest 20 or 22 count. i have completed "the frog prince" pattern from haed on 22 count oslo fabric and it turned out wonderful. you could always do a test on the different counts (like a 10 x 10 square) and see how you feel with it. People are stitching from 14ct(!) to 32, and with variations of 1, 2 or 3 threads, in either full cross or tent stitch. after looking mine (contessa with squid) up from several people stitching i decided to go with 1x1 full cross on 28ct so the black would be nicely filled it. i felt the 25ct left a few too many gaps for my personal taste. Iron the folds of your opening flat. slip your threaded needle inside the fold to hide its knot. bring the needle out through the folded edge. push the needle into the opposite fold – directly across from the fold where it came out. slide along this opposite fold about ⅛” – ¼”, staying inside the fold, then push the needle out again.
