Portait Of My Grandma R Watercolor Thanks so much! it took me probably 8 hours in total including the sketch, but this is the second version of this painting. i was not fully happy with the first one so decided to give it another try. „never give up” seems to have paid off! 8 hours is probably a lot for a watercolor, but i like to take my time and think it through. Color theory and color design will help you do exactly that. bright vivid colors can be used to attract the eye and create focal points in a painting. for example, you can use bright colors to draw attention to the main subject of your artwork. on the other hand, muted colors can produce a calm, dreamlike quality.
